Director: Radosław Piwowarski
1984
The now mature "Ringo" recalls the year 1964 when he was preparing for his high school final exams, although beatlemania was more important to him. Along with his friends—"John," "George," and "Paul"—he listened to Radio Luxembourg, played hit songs, and wore longer hair. An unfortunate chain of events caused "Ringo" to fail his exams on time. Radosław Piwowarski's "Yesterday" is a nostalgic, bittersweet melodrama about dreams, youthful fascinations, and the small tragedies of life in a small town. Piotr Siwkiewicz, who plays "Ringo," also appeared in other films by the director: "March Almonds" and "Train to Hollywood."
