Trough & Trough

The film tells the story of a married couple struggling with immense life difficulties. Both are socially marginalized, living in poverty, and desperately searching for money to pay a bribe that could get them out of an unpleasant situation. Faced with increasing pressure and no way out, the couple takes a desperate step—they commit a crime, hoping it will provide them with the cash they need. A few days later, however, the spouses are caught by the police and brought to trial, where they must face the consequences of their actions. During the trial, when it seems there is no hope left for them, they begin to reveal their true motivations.
