A comedy featuring the extremely popular pre-war radio storytellers, Szczepko and Tońko. Both were native Lviv residents, but born in two different parts of the city – one in Gródek, the other in Łyczaków. They had a wonderful sense of humor and were masters of the Lviv dialect. The friends – Szczepko and Tońko – lose their jobs at a toy factory where singing was forbidden, and they broke that rule. In a park, they find an abandoned infant, whom they care for. Wanda, the owner of a toy shop, arrives in Lviv with her uncle. He wants to marry his niece to the director of the toy factory. Through a twist of fate, the child ends up with Wanda. Szczepko and Tońko search desperately for the baby. But the uncle grows increasingly fond of the child. Wanda also falls in love with the transformed factory director. After many adventures, the child stays with the uncle, Wanda and Julian are over the moon, and Szczepko and Tońko, resigned to their fate, walk away...
