La Carrière de Nikos Dyzma

Nikodem Dyzma, humble employee of a small funeral company and master of funeral ceremonies, does not dream of great achievements – his only goal is to earn enough money to buy a liquor fridge. Everything changes when he accidentally obtains an invitation to an elegant diplomatic cocktail party. After being spilled on by an awkward guest, he bursts into anger and uses strong words. This seemingly trivial incident triggers a chain of events that propel Dyzma upward in high society. A film full of humor and absurdity, it tells the story of an unexpected rise in a reality where appearances and chance determine the fate of the hero.
