A surreal and ironic comedy that transports the viewer to the world of the 1970s, set in Gierek-era Poland, where absurd situations seem to be the norm, and the logic of social life runs counter to common sense. The main character, a middle-aged editor, is a model family man who spends each day in order and routine. When his wife and children leave for the weekend, the man is left alone at home to finish an urgent proofreading task for work. It seems that nothing can disrupt his orderly life. However, after a few hours of solitude, unexpected chaos seeps into his reality. During a walk, he meets a mysterious Gypsy woman who not only foretells lucky numbers but also a fatal accident. She tells him that that very night he will accidentally kill an unknown brunette who will appear in his life.
