A Friend of a Merry Devil

For centuries, the inhabitants of the Land of Light have been battling the Spirit of Darkness. When Witalis, the only man to have escaped his labyrinth, loses his sight, his protégé Janek sets out for the Spirit’s realm to save him. Accompanying him is Piszczałka, a kind-hearted devil. After adventures in the land of giants and lilliputians, Janek defeats the Spirit’s guardian, recovers the magical crystal, and returns to save Witalis. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Kornel Makuszyński.
