A Short Film About Killing

The cinematic version of the fifth episode of the television series Dekalog, dedicated to the commandment "Thou shalt not kill." "A Short Film About Killing" tells the story of a juvenile delinquent sentenced to death for murdering a taxi driver. While awaiting execution, the boy, taking on the role of narrator, reveals to his lawyer details of his past and personality that shed light on the mysterious motives behind his act. Although the protagonist initially appears unequivocally evil, his story becomes increasingly complex, and the viewer begins to see how difficult, complicated, and full of suffering the circumstances leading to the tragedy were.
