Two young entrepreneurs, Adam and Stefan, decide to start a scooter assembly business, aiming to carry out an ambitious project in collaboration with Italian partners. However, the bank refuses them a loan of $300,000 needed for the investment’s development, prompting them to seek alternative sources of funding. At this moment, Adam’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets an old school friend, Gerard Nowak, who offers to help secure the money for the project. Gerard, though seemingly helpful at first glance, quickly reveals his true intentions. It turns out his "help" comes at a price—a 20% commission, which initially seems like a minor issue but soon the whole situation becomes increasingly dangerous. Gerard rapidly drags Adam and Stefan into an illegal, criminal world. Unmet expectations and mounting debts lead to a series of manipulations, blackmail, and growing desperation. As the “debt” piles up, the protagonists find themselves trapped with no way out. Gerard begins to use brutal methods, forcing them into further compromises, which ultimately leads to tragic consequences.
