Director: Lech Majewski

The film tells the story of a young artist staying in a psychiatric ward, whose inner world becomes the primary stage for the action. Instead of a traditional plot, we are given a glimpse into pulsating, subconscious images—memories, fears, fantasies, and illusions—that together form an intimate map of his mind. What happens "outside" takes a backseat; what truly matters is the intensity of the experiences, which can erupt even though the protagonist remains physically in one place. The director demonstrates that psychological reality can be incomparably richer than the material one. Sequences appear simultaneously, overlapping and intertwining, creating a narrative that defies conventional cinematic rules. There are no dialogues—music and a richly crafted soundscape serve as the sole guides on this inner journey, acting as a substitute for words and a commentary on the emotional chaos of the protagonist.
