26-year-old Łukasz lives with his mother and younger sister. Three years ago, he graduated from the geography department, but he is still unemployed. One evening, he is wrongfully arrested on charges of assaulting an elderly woman. His explanation that he was at the cinema at the time convinces no one, as he is identified by the victim during a confrontation. To make matters worse, the woman dies of a stroke just hours after the traumatic incident. What started as a hooligan assault thus turns into a fatal attack. The lawyer hired by Łukasz’s mother promises to do everything in his power but cannot guarantee a quick release. Meanwhile, each day behind bars feels like an eternity to Łukasz, even though it is "only" detention, not a "real" prison. The young man must navigate a world of harsh rules that divides people into "the cool" and "the losers."
