Marysia, a young postal clerk, sets off for Vienna as the secretary of a special train due to a misunderstanding. She is accompanied by industrialist Olszewicz, and their destination is a meeting in Yugoslavia with an American businessman, Smith, regarding a concession in Albania. To convince Smith, they must pretend to be a young married couple. During a yacht trip in Dubrovnik, the American reveals that he knows the truth and, for moral reasons, will not sign the contract. However, Olszewicz decides to surprise everyone – out at sea, he marries Marysia, confessing his love for her. Surprised, Smith ultimately agrees to sign the agreement, and the young couple can enjoy not only professional success but also personal happiness.
