A social comedy telling the story of a seventeen-year-old girl from the provinces who unexpectedly finds a surrogate family in the big city. After her mother’s death, Krysia comes to Warsaw and comes under the care of two friends — the warm-hearted taxi driver Florek and the steady doctor Bogdan. Although they differ in character and lifestyle, both successfully take on caring roles for her, replacing her absent parents. A young navy officer, Jurek, also enters Krysia’s life, falling in love with her and trying to win her affection. However, as she matures emotionally and learns to make independent choices, she decides to build her life with Bogdan. Presented in a light, humorous style, the film portrays the process of growing up, the search for security, and the need for closeness and stability in the adult world.
