Director: Ryszard Ber
1965
Ryszard Ber’s directorial and screenwriting debut, Always on Sundays, ended up on screen by chance alongside two other sports-themed films: Holy War and Mexico Tomorrow. Compared to them, Ber’s work came off decently, although one sports critic summed it up briefly as “One to two” — to the director’s disadvantage. Other reviewers shared a similar opinion: they found the first two segments less successful and sketchy, while the third stood out because it “actually entertains and addresses an issue.”
