Director: Tomasz Zygadło
1982
The film draws inspiration from Alexander Blok’s poem "Retribution" and tells the story of a reunion between old friends at a mountain lodge. Midroń and Świdrycki, middle-aged men, reminisce about their youthful dreams and unfulfilled plans, all while grappling with a sense of lost opportunities. It is a story about a crisis of life's meaning, inner turmoil, and fear of passing time, raising questions about faith in oneself and one’s own potential. The film combines a reflection on adulthood with a subtle portrait of human emotions and longings.
