The film is set in occupied Warsaw during World War II. A group of young Home Army members decide to carry out an assassination attempt on SS General Franz Kutschera, who is responsible for mass executions of Poles. The boys meticulously plan the operation: they study the general’s route, acquire weapons, and secure a German car. The assassination succeeds, but four participants are seriously wounded. Despite orders to abandon the vehicle, they continue their escape, resulting in some of them being killed in a German manhunt. Of the entire group, only one boy and the girls survive, who, undeterred by the tragedy, prepare for their next mission. The film portrays the courage, sacrifice, and determination of young people fighting for freedom under the harrowing conditions of occupation.
