A film about the romantic trials of a man who, during a sleepless night, reminisces about his turbulent relationships with women. The story unfolds through flashbacks, from his first high school love to later marital betrayals. The man reflects on his feelings, mistakes, and decisions that have led him to his current stage in life. Each of the twelve women he had affairs with plays a different role in his emotional development. The film portrays the man in the context of his relationships with women, but also as a person full of contradictions and inner struggles. It is only in the finale that we learn which of these women became his wife, giving the story a surprising, contemplative dimension.
