In one apartment building live two gentlemen named Pączek – Hipolit, a serious music lover and the owner of the building, and Henryk, a radio announcer passionate about popular music. Both host loud concerts in their apartments, leading to constant quarrels. The situation changes when Hipolit’s beautiful niece meets Henryk – a romance blossoms between the young couple. Their love becomes a bridge between the feuding neighbors, who eventually reconcile and perform together on the radio, presenting a jazz rendition of Dvořák’s “Humoresque.”
