Horizontal Landscape

This documentary drama depicts the lives of people coming from various parts of the country who take up work on a major industrial project. Three young workers – Student, Tytus, and Chrypulec – try to find their place in a new environment while sharing a rented lodging. They work under the supervision of engineer Kołecki, who, instead of ensuring order and efficiency, often engages in abuses and wastefulness. His departure opens up the opportunity for the protagonists to fully commit themselves to the construction entrusted to them. After numerous challenges and internal dilemmas, they decide to stay with the plant, which gradually becomes not only a workplace but also a symbol of collective effort and responsibility.
