Director: Piotr Szulkin
1984
After the atomic war, Earth becomes uninhabitable, and humanity takes refuge in a concrete bunker, awaiting the arrival of the legendary Ark, which is supposed to transport the survivors to a safe place. However, life underground leads people to degeneration – fear, hunger, and disease ravage them physically and mentally. The myth of the Ark, which gives hope and keeps them alive, simultaneously deepens their madness, as it is a product of government propaganda. Soft (J. Stuhr), a security officer who previously took part in evacuating the survivors, now struggles with his own moral decline and watches as the people around him lose the last remnants of their humanity. At a critical moment, the structure of the shelter begins to threaten collapse. Soft tries to convince the Constructor to repair the protective dome’s mechanism, but when it cracks, the crowd panics and rushes toward the light, believing a miracle has occurred. A science fiction film by Piotr Szulkin, it is the third part of a post-apocalyptic series alongside "Golem," "The War of the Worlds – Next Century," and "Ga, ga. Glory to the Heroes."
