Joachim, a wealthy businessman living in isolation, begins to feel the need to rebuild family ties in the final years of his life. He decides to seek out a distant relative—Dawid, a young mathematician with an extraordinary mind who has just returned to Poland. Their meetings evolve into long conversations about the logic of the world and the unpredictability of human fate, balancing between scientific precision and philosophical questions. Although neither of them knows how this relationship will affect their future, they gradually come to understand that they can play an important role in each other's lives. When Joachim suffers a serious accident, his fragility becomes increasingly apparent, while Dawid swiftly achieves new scientific breakthroughs. However, external forces—both subtle and harsh—begin to intrude upon this delicate, complex bond, altering the dynamic of their encounters.
