"Everyday Life" is a film from the creative documentary movement of the 1970s that observes ordinary human activities while excluding faces from the frame. This approach makes the story more universal, but also introduces a sense of anonymity and depersonalization. In the rhythm of factory work and daily duties, Szulkin portrays a society whose life is confined to social functions, where material comfort fails to compensate for inner emptiness. The film contains almost no dialogue, and the sound is reduced to the monotonous noises of the environment, emphasizing the indifference and routine of the characters' lives.
