The End of the Holiday

A coming-of-age film that presents an exceptionally difficult challenge to a young boy from Silesia, the son of a miner. As he begins his summer vacation, the protagonist does not expect it to be so transformative. At the same time as he experiences his first shy feelings, he must confront the breakdown of his parents' marriage. This painful reality forces him to grow up at lightning speed. Moved by the events affecting him, the boy gradually matures, changing both internally and externally. From a naive child, he becomes a young man who begins to understand the complexity of the world, people, and relationships.
