The film tells the story of twelve-year-old Adaś Niezgódka, who arrives at an extraordinary school run by the mysterious Professor Ambroży Kleks. The Kleks Academy is a place full of magic, colors, and strange objects, such as inkblot art and letter spinning. At this school, students learn how to use magic, and the professor himself possesses amazing abilities—he can grow in size, read minds, and travel to fairy-tale worlds. However, the academy hides a secret. One of the students, a starling named Mateusz, is actually a prince from Bajdocja who can return to his human form thanks to magical items. The peace of the school is disrupted by the evil barber Filip Golarz, who summons a mechanical robot named Adolf to the academy. Adolf begins to sow chaos by infiltrating the forbidden attic, ultimately weakening Professor Kleks’s power. The film, full of fantastic elements, showcases the magic of friendship, courage, and the struggle against evil, with the lightness and humor typical of Jan Brzechwa’s literature.
