"Heat" is a film that transfers the cabaret humor from a popular TV show to the big screen, retaining its lightness and distinctive style. The story unfolds during a heatwave when the government decides to go on a recreational trip, leaving Warsaw in the hands of two Elderly Gentlemen. As part of their mission, they must take care of the city for one day. They are assisted by, and simultaneously introduce, absurd situations, characters, and romances into the plot, led by the female Anti-Stroke Squad. Meanwhile, in a milk bar and on the city streets, various comedic love and social storylines develop. Diplomatic turmoil is not lacking either — the ambassador was forgotten to be welcomed, risking a political crisis. In response, the Elderly Gentlemen show up at the embassy cocktail party to prevent further trouble. The film balances on the edge of absurdity and social comedy, playing with the convention where every character is somewhat eccentric and full of unexpected twists.
