In a provincial high school, a new physical education teacher, Janota, decides to break the routine and revive the passion for sports at the school. With enthusiasm, he forms a handball team, organizes extra training sessions, and even acquires equipment. Thanks to his efforts, he earns the approval of the principal and other teachers. However, as Janota becomes increasingly involved, he starts demanding more and more from the students, which leads to tensions. One of the students, a talented musician, is forced to give up rehearsals in order to attend the training sessions. Over time, the teacher begins to use increasingly harsh methods, including blackmail, to enforce obedience and discipline. Conflicts within the school grow, and Janota’s attitude starts to spark controversy. Eventually, it becomes clear that instead of strengthening bonds, his actions only deepen divisions and lead to a crisis, transforming the initial enthusiasm into distrust and rebellion.
