A young attorney, defender of a worker accused of participating in a strike, suddenly dies of a heart attack. His death is abrupt and brutal, leaving behind a wife who cannot come to terms with this irreversible loss. However, the man's death does not mark the end for him – as a spirit, he continues to accompany the living, observing their lives from the invisible, liminal space between life and death. His wife, desperate and consumed by grief, cannot accept his departure. Although the man is no longer alive, she still feels his presence, longs for his return, unable to believe in the finality of their separation. The film shows how deeply death can affect those left behind, how difficult it is to accept not only the physical absence of a loved one but also their spiritual absence. The spirit of the attorney, though unable to fully participate in his wife’s life, tries to understand her suffering and pain.
