A group of Girl Scouts went on a mountain trip. During their second breakfast, someone boldly steals their hard-boiled egg. To their astonishment and horror, it turns out the culprit is the devil Piszczałka – a hairy creature who effectively frightens away the girls and their teacher, and later also some unsuspecting tourists. Piszczałka doesn’t stop there – he steals a birthday cake made by the father for a 10-year-old boy named Bi, who uses a wheelchair. That same evening, the terrifying, hairy face of the creature peers into Bi’s window, but the boy’s scream makes Piszczałka disappear. The next morning, Bi and his father, Makary, discover mysterious tracks in the garden that suddenly end in an inexplicable way. News of the mysterious creature’s appearance even reaches the television. Soon, Makary is taken by their neighbor Rybarczyk on a hunt aimed at catching Piszczałka. Upset at being left alone at home, Bi escapes to the mountains in his wheelchair and finds himself dangerously hanging over a cliff. He is rescued from this predicament by Piszczałka himself, who instead of running away takes the boy home, causing quite a commotion. Meanwhile, everyone continues searching for the creature – without success. Piszczałka learns about Bi’s illness and decides to help him. He leads the boy to a mysterious cave and places a magical crystal on his forehead – a crystal with healing powers. Bi loses consciousness. He wakes up alone in his room. Determined to help Piszczałka, he sets off after him in his wheelchair. His father tries to stop him and accidentally breaks the wheelchair. In desperation, Bi places the crystal on his forehead once again – and miraculously, he gets up and begins to walk.
