Sixteen-year-old Baltazar, the last of the Budziszyn doctor’s lineage, struggles with verbal disability and cannot speak fluently. Despite this, he is endowed with extraordinary spiritual abilities, noticed by the Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel chooses the boy for an extraordinary mission – to embark on a journey to Jerusalem. The goal of the journey is not only the city itself but also to pass through its gates, which lead to God Himself. Though young and awkward in everyday life, Baltazar is chosen to be a pilgrim with a pure heart, tasked with finding the sacred path to divine revelation. During his travels, Baltazar faces hardships but also unexpected encounters with people who help him understand the true meaning of his mission. His spiritual journey is filled with challenges, introspection, and discoveries, leading him to the ultimate encounter with the divine presence that will change not only his life but also his understanding of the world.
