1984
The film’s action centers on two artists, a man and a woman, who have decided to leave city life behind and settle in a wooden cabin by the river, deep in the forest wilderness. There, in close communion with nature, their lives unfold in harmony with the rhythms of the natural world, with the changing seasons serving as a metaphor for the passing of their own lives. Their peace is shattered when they are forced to confront the death of the man’s father. Experiencing this loss together, against the backdrop of their life removed from civilization, becomes a moment of profound reflection on life, art, love, and the inevitable passage of time. The film explores how the closeness of nature and the tranquility of their isolated existence provide a space to process difficult emotions, understand their own limits, and find meaning in life’s final stages.
