The film tells the story of Jerzy Szajnowicz-Iwanow, a Polish intelligence agent who operated in Greece during World War II. Born in Warsaw, he contacted British intelligence after the outbreak of the war and, following training in Alexandria, was sent to Greece in 1941. An exceptional swimmer, he carried out spectacular sabotage missions, such as attacking German ships and destroying fuel tanks. His actions were of great intelligence value, providing crucial information about the movements of Nazi forces. He escaped from the Gestapo twice, but after a third arrest, he was executed by the Germans in 1943. Despite his tragic end, his daring activities made him a war hero—a symbol of courage and sacrifice in the fight against the occupiers.
