A comedy featuring the incredibly popular pre-war radio storytellers, Szczepko and Tońko. Both were native Lwów residents, but born in two opposite ends of the city—one in Gródek, the other in Łyczaków. They had a wonderful sense of humor and were masters of the Lwów dialect. Szczepko and Tońko, friends, lose their jobs at a toy factory where singing was forbidden, a rule they broke. In the park, they find an abandoned infant and take care of it. Wanda, the owner of a toy store, arrives in Lwów with her uncle. He intends to marry his niece to the director of the factory. Through a twist of fate, the child ends up with Wanda. Szczepko and Tońko search desperately for the baby. Meanwhile, the uncle grows increasingly fond of the child. Wanda also falls in love with the transformed factory director. After numerous adventures, the child stays with the uncle, Wanda and Julian are overjoyed, and Szczepko and Tońko, resigned to their fate, walk away...
