Director: Piotr Szulkin
1981
At the end of the 20th century, Martians arrive on Earth, establishing a new regime and controlling people through chips and forced blood donations. Journalist Iron Idem (R. Wilhelmi) is forced to read propaganda broadcasts and, as a result of repression, loses his wife, apartment, and good reputation. The deserted cities are filled with tele-portals and madmen, where truth merges with official propaganda. In this world, Idem meets Gea (K. Janda), a prostitute who reminds him of his wife, and slowly begins to mature toward rebellion against the system, despite the dangerous consequences. Piotr Szulkin’s film is the second part of a post-apocalyptic series, drawing inspiration from H.G. Wells’ novel *The War of the Worlds*.
