The film tells the story of an experienced manager who takes on the role of director at a newly established chemical plant. Although he accepts the position with the best intentions and full responsibility for the future of the facility, he quickly realizes that his actions are constrained by unfortunate decisions made at various levels of the organization before his arrival. The protagonist faces a dilemma: while he has the authority to make key decisions, he must also contend with the consequences of mistakes made prior to his tenure. The film portrays the clash between idealism and the realities of management, where personal accountability for the company's success or failure meets the limitations imposed by previous choices and structures. The film addresses themes of responsibility, the challenges of managing complex organizations, and the difficulties involved in attempting to change something built on flawed foundations.
